Bikers fire at medicine trader's house in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: Two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle opened fire at the residence of a wholesale medicine trader in Kitchlu Nagar in the early hours of Monday. The victim discovered the incident in the morning after noticing bullet marks on the wall. The entire episode was captured on a CCTV camera installed at the location, showing the two accused.

No prior threats or rivalry

Family members stated that they had no enmity with anyone and had not received any extortion calls. Complainant Rishu Kalra reported that on Monday morning, he observed bullet marks on the walls. Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, he saw two men arriving on a motorcycle outside the house around 12:45 am. One of the accused remained on the bike while the other walked toward the house and fired at least four shots.

Kalra expressed confusion over the motive behind the attack, stating he did not know why anyone would target his house.

Police investigation underway

Inspector Rajinderpal Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) at PAU Police Station, confirmed that an FIR has been registered against the unidentified assailants. The police have obtained the CCTV footage and are working to identify the accused.
