Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Launches Coordinated Attacks in Delhi and Canada
The start of 2026 has witnessed a brazen offensive from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This criminal network executed five shootings in less than forty-eight hours across Delhi and Canada. Law enforcement agencies on two continents are now scrambling to respond to this high-octane display of force.
Dual Operations in Delhi and Canada
The gang demonstrated its expanded reach with simultaneous operations. In Delhi, two high-profile shootings rattled the capital in a single day. At a business premises in Paschim Vihar, west Delhi, the assailants issued a chilling warning. They stated, "Next time, if you don't pick up the call, I will have you picked up from the earth. You will meet the same fate as Nadir Shah."
Nadir Shah was gunned down by the gang in south Delhi's GK I area back in September 2024. The second shooting occurred in east Delhi the same night. Gang members recorded themselves firing into the air, a signature move designed to ensure the intimidation spreads virally.
Thousands of miles away in Canada, the gang mirrored this violence on the exact same day. Bullets sprayed the home of a businessman in Brampton. Gang affiliates also claimed responsibility for two other shootings in Brantford.
A retired senior police officer remarked on this coordination. He said, "This synchronized action between Delhi and Brampton highlights a level of command and control that few criminal organizations can maintain."
A Pattern of Message-Driven Violence
These incidents are not isolated. Recent months have seen a flurry of similar attacks from the gang. The group appears to employ a 'Robin Hood' narrative in some cases. They claim to target only those who exploit workers or support their enemies.
Simultaneously, they demand massive extortion sums. Last week, the gang owned up to an attack targeting Kabaddi League promoter Davinder Mann in Delta, Surrey, Canada. Earlier, they claimed responsibility for shootings at comedian Kapil Sharma's café in Canada. They cited alleged worker exploitation and extortion as motives.
Consolidation and Calculated Strategy
The Bishnoi gang's renewed offensive seems to have kicked off around a significant time. It coincides with the Canadian government declaring the gang a terrorist entity for engaging in homicides, extortion, and violent acts. The gang spent much of 2025 consolidating its footing.
A carefully curated rumor surfaced late last year about a supposed fallout. It suggested a rift between Lawrence Bishnoi and his long-time lieutenants, Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar. The lieutenants reportedly chose sides. Aarzoo Bishnoi, Harry Boxer, Goldy Dhillon, Nonnie Rana, and Kala Rana went with Bishnoi. A few lesser-known figures purportedly went with Brar.
Delhi Police recently cited Virender Charan, a gangster believed close to Bishnoi, as a Godara aide. Whispers of this rift over internal betrayals and the deportation of Bishnoi's brother Anmol were initially seen as signs of a crumbling empire. However, this 'split' now appears to have been a calculated feint.
A source familiar with the gang's operations explained the strategy. "Both Brar and Godara are entities virtually erected by Bishnoi. They would virtually cease to operate once Bishnoi actually decides to withdraw support. The 'split' story has worked to their advantage. The syndicate seems to be using the distraction to strengthen its international logistics," the source said.
Confusion Among Henchmen and Law Enforcement Challenge
Interestingly, the gang's henchmen seem divided and confused by this narrative. For instance, Bishnoi's man, Goldy Dhillon, and Godara's man, Mahender Delana, both claimed a few shootings in Canada on Tuesday. Both mentioned common affiliates like the Gogi Maan and Kala Rana groups.
Law enforcement agencies now face a critical challenge. They must move beyond this strategic smokescreen. Behind it, Lawrence Bishnoi appears to be building a global, unified criminal network. The coordinated attacks in Delhi and Canada serve as a stark warning of this expanding threat.
