Bokaro: The foundation stone laying and bhoomi pujan for the new building of the Bokaro District Bar Association was held on Sunday. The programme was inaugurated by Justice Ananda Sen of the Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi, who performed the formal bhoomi pujan and laid the foundation stone. The event was attended by the Principal Judge of the Family Court, Bokaro, judicial officers, advocates, office-bearers and members of the Bar Association, along with several dignitaries.
Enhanced Judicial Facilities
Advocates and legal officers at the event said the new building would greatly improve the functioning of judicial work and provide better facilities for advocates. Justice Sen, in his address, said, “Coordination between the legal fraternity and the judiciary is essential for strengthening the justice delivery system.” He also announced that several development works have been approved from CSR funds for the Bokaro District Advocates’ Association campus. These include paving with interlocking blocks, installation of a 30 kVA solar power plant in the first phase and the operation of an e-library.
CSR Initiatives
The CSR-funded projects aim to modernize the campus infrastructure, making it more sustainable and technologically advanced. The solar power plant will reduce electricity costs, while the e-library will provide digital access to legal resources for advocates. The interlocking blocks will improve the campus pathways, ensuring better accessibility.
Justice Sen emphasized that such developments are crucial for the legal community to function efficiently. He urged all stakeholders to work together to uphold the rule of law and ensure timely justice for citizens. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Bar Association secretary.
