Violent Clash Erupts in Bokaro School Ground, Car Set Ablaze
Late on Tuesday night, a violent confrontation between two groups of men at a school ground in Sector-8B, under the jurisdiction of the Sector-4 police station in Bokaro, escalated into a dangerous incident. The clash, which stemmed from an old dispute, resulted in significant property damage and injuries.
Property Destroyed and Injuries Reported
During the altercation, a car was deliberately set on fire, and a two-wheeler was damaged. According to police reports on Wednesday, two men sustained injuries in the violence. Residents described how an initial argument quickly spiraled into a physical scuffle, with some individuals targeting the vehicle, which allegedly belonged to a member of the opposing group.
Police Response and Investigation Underway
Law enforcement agencies swiftly responded to the scene, with teams from multiple police stations arriving to initiate a thorough investigation. An FIR has been registered against three named individuals—Bittu Kumar Yadav, Sumant Kumar Yadav—and approximately 25 unidentified persons. Police have already arrested one accused from Pilgadhia Khatal as part of their ongoing efforts.
CCTV footage from the surrounding areas is being meticulously examined to identify all participants involved in the violence. This digital evidence is crucial for piecing together the sequence of events and ensuring accountability.
Details of the Injured and Missing Person Case
Bokaro SP Harvinder Singh provided further details, noting that one injured youth has been identified as Bikky Kumar. Additionally, there was a concerning report of another youth, Kunal Singh, who went missing after the incident. However, police successfully traced Kunal, who explained that he had been unable to return home due to injuries sustained during the clash.
Based on a written complaint filed by Kunal, the Sector-4 police station has formally registered the case. The investigation remains active, with authorities committed to uncovering the full scope of the incident and preventing future occurrences of such violence in the community.
