Bokaro Police Arrest Two in Railway Colony Burglary

Bokaro: Police arrested two persons in connection with the burglary at a residence in the railway colony under Balidih police station limits, Bokaro SP Nathu Singh Meena said on Monday.

Accused Identified

The accused were identified as Amit Kumar Singh and Madan Kumar, residents of Kurmidih. The SP said, “The accused have previous criminal records related to assault and intimidation registered at Balidih police station. They have been sent to judicial custody.”

Incident Details

According to the complaint lodged by Basanti Devi, a resident of Railway Colony quarter, her neighbour Riya Mukherjee had locked her house and gone out of station. On Saturday morning, Basanti noticed that the lock of the quarter had been broken. On entering the house, she found several household articles missing and informed the police.

Investigation and Arrest

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the supervision of the headquarters DSP Pawan Kumar arrested the accused. Police also recovered all the stolen items, including a laptop, three pedestal fans, two plastic chairs, two small bicycles, a stabiliser, a folding bed, a plastic drum and three bags. The iron rod used to break the lock was also seized.
