In a significant operation aimed at curbing the illegal liquor trade, the Bokaro district police on Tuesday made a substantial breakthrough by seizing a large consignment of foreign liquor. The action took place in the Jainamoad area, where law enforcement officials conducted a raid that led to the confiscation of the illicit goods and the arrest of three individuals involved in the smuggling operation.

During the meticulously planned operation, the police not only seized the foreign liquor but also impounded four vehicles that were being used to transport the contraband. The vehicles included a truck, a pickup van, and a car, all of which are believed to have played a crucial role in the illegal distribution network. The arrested suspects have been identified as Binod Goswami, the truck driver; Fuleshwar Marandi, who served as a loading-unloading assistant; and Deepak Kumar Pandey, the alleged liquor supplier. Following the seizure, a formal case has been registered at the Jaridih police station under relevant sections of the Jharkhand Excise Act.
