Boy, 9, Attacked by Rottweiler in Ahmedabad's Bodakdev

Ahmedabad: A nine-year-old boy was allegedly attacked by a rottweiler outside a bungalow in Lad Society, Bodakdev, on Tuesday morning. The boy sustained injuries to his head and above the right eyebrow, requiring stitches at a nearby hospital. His father has filed a complaint against the dog's owners, accusing them of intentionally leaving the pet loose, leading to the attack.

Incident Details

The complainant, Dinesh Rot, 30, a native of Dungarpur in Rajasthan, works odd jobs at several bungalows in Lad Society. According to his complaint, he arrived at Lad Society around 10:15 am on Tuesday with his son to work at Bungalow No. 16. Rot went inside to work while his son sat on a parked bike, playing on his phone. His niece, Payal, informed him that his son had been bitten by a dog. Rot rushed outside to find a crowd gathered around his son, who had teeth marks on his head and a bleeding wound. There was also a scratch mark above his right eyebrow caused by the dog's claws.

Dog Owner's Actions

The dog belongs to Alpa Rajput, a resident of Bungalow No. 18. Rot alleged that Alpa had just entered the society gate with the dog and entered her house, leaving the animal off-leash. The dog suddenly attacked the boy, who hid under a car to save himself. Rot informed Alpa about the incident, and she, along with her husband Hitesh, accompanied Rot to take the child to DHS Hospital near Vastrapur Lake.
