A joyous wedding celebration turned into a nightmare in Firozabad district when a speeding pickup truck plowed through a group of guests heading to a ceremony on Thursday night. The horrific incident claimed the life of a nine-year-old boy and left twenty others injured, according to police officials who confirmed the details on Friday.

Chaos and Panic at Banquet Hall Entrance

The tragic accident occurred near a banquet hall, sparking immediate chaos and confusion in the area. Local residents quickly alerted police authorities, and emergency services rushed to the scene. All victims were promptly transported to the district hospital for medical treatment.

Doctors at the hospital declared nine-year-old Ahil Ahmed dead upon arrival. The twenty injured individuals remain hospitalized, receiving necessary medical care for their wounds.

Eyewitness Usman Ahmed described the terrifying moments: "The vehicle was speeding and crushed the group before fleeing the area. There was panic and people were in a state of shock and screaming..."

Another account came from Sakib Ali, a relative of one victims, who suggested possible driver negligence: "We're going to the wedding hall to give 'bhaat'. Suddenly, a vehicle came at full speed and crushed the guests and left. It seemed the driver of the pickup was drunk."

Police Investigation and Legal Action

Rasoolpur Station House Officer Pradeep Kumar confirmed that authorities have registered a case under BNS section 105 for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. A dedicated police team has been assigned to track down the absconding driver.

"Further investigation is on and strict action will be taken accordingly," the SHO assured, emphasizing the seriousness with which police are treating the case.

Law enforcement agencies have launched a comprehensive search operation for both the driver and the pickup truck involved in the incident. Police are examining CCTV footage from the area and have alerted all police stations across Firozabad district about the fleeing suspect.

Separate Fatal Accident in Same District

In another tragic road incident in Firozabad district on Friday, two young motorcycle riders lost their lives instantly after being struck by a speeding bus from Shikohabad depot. The collision occurred between Uttarara and Noorpur.

The deceased have been identified as Hasim Khan, 22, and Irshad Khan, 20, both residents of Ghaghu Nagla Pandey. The young men were heading to work when their motorcycle entered the main road and was hit by the Etah-bound bus.

The impact proved so severe that neither youth survived the collision. SHO of Jasrana, Rajesh Pandey, stated that "A case will be registered in the matter after receiving the police complaint. An investigation is being conducted; action will be taken accordingly."

These back-to-back tragedies have highlighted growing concerns about road safety in the region, particularly involving speeding vehicles and the need for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations.
