Brothers Arrested After Encounter in Sonepat Murder Case

In a swift action, the Sonepat police arrested two brothers after a brief encounter within 10 hours of a youth's murder in a village. The accused, identified as Ravi and Rajesh, were arrested late Tuesday night following a tip-off.

Incident Details

The victim, 25-year-old Sunil, was allegedly killed by the brothers over a petty dispute. The police received information about the accused hiding in a nearby village. A police team led by Inspector Satish Kumar reached the spot, and the accused opened fire on the police, leading to a brief encounter. The police retaliated, injuring one of the accused in the leg.

Arrest and Recovery

The police arrested both brothers and recovered a pistol, cartridges, and the motorcycle used in the crime. The injured accused was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
