Two Brothers Nabbed for Murder in Tirupati Village Over Unpaid Loan
Badvel rural police have made a significant arrest in a shocking murder case. They captured two brothers linked to a killing reported in Srinivasapuram village, located in Gopavaram mandal. The incident dates back to January 11, when tensions over a financial debt turned deadly.
Loan Dispute Sparks Fatal Confrontation
Police investigations uncovered a troubling backstory. Mude Chinna Guravaiah, aged 48, had borrowed a substantial sum of Rs 20 lakh from Mude Chinna Gurraiah, who is 42 years old. Guravaiah failed to repay the money as agreed upon, leading to mounting pressure from the lender.
About a month ago, Chinna Gurraiah began demanding immediate repayment. He also humiliated Guravaiah during these interactions. This treatment fueled deep resentment in Guravaiah, who then plotted to eliminate the lender.
Deadly Ambush and Police Manhunt
On January 11, Guravaiah executed his plan with the help of his brother, Mude Nadipi Gurraiah. They lured the lender to a secluded area near Srinivasapuram village. Pretending to settle the loan, they obtained the loan documents first.
Once they had the papers, the brothers launched a vicious attack. They used iron rods to assault both Chinna Gurraiah and his elder brother, Pedda Gurraiah. Their intention was clear: to kill both men. After the assault, the Guravaiah brothers fled the scene, convinced they had succeeded.
However, the outcome was not as they expected. While Chinna Gurraiah died instantly from the injuries, his elder brother survived the brutal beating. This survivor later managed to reach the police and report the crime.
Swift Police Action and Recovery of Evidence
Badvel rural police sprang into action immediately. They launched an intensive manhunt to track down the perpetrators. Their efforts paid off on Friday when they apprehended the Guravaiah brothers near Garudayya Satram.
During the arrest, police officers seized the murder weapons from the accused. The iron rods used in the attack are now key pieces of evidence in the case. This arrest highlights the dangers of unresolved financial disputes escalating into violence.
The community in Tirupati remains shaken by this tragic event. Police continue their investigation to ensure justice is served for the victims and their families.
