Bus Crashes into Ditch After Stone-Pelting Incident Near Indore Toll Point

A passenger bus traveling from Bori to Indore met with a severe accident on Wednesday when it veered off the road and plunged into a roadside ditch in Dhar district. The incident occurred after unidentified individuals pelted stones at the vehicle near a toll point in the Ringnod area, causing the windshield to shatter instantly.

Panic and Injuries as Driver Loses Control

As the front glass cracked under the impact of the stones, the driver, identified as Manish Mujalda, became disoriented and lost control of the bus. This led to the vehicle careening off the road and into the ditch, triggering panic among the passengers onboard. More than 30 people sustained injuries in the crash, with six reported to be in serious condition, including the driver.

Emergency Response and Hospitalization

Police and ambulance teams rushed to the spot immediately after the accident. The injured were shifted to the civil hospital in Sardarpur and some private hospitals in Rajgarh, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Senior officers, including SDOP Vishwadeep Singh Parihar and station in-charge Anil Jadhav, reached the hospital to assess the situation and speak with the injured passengers.

Investigation Underway to Identify Culprits

SDOP Vishwadeep Singh Parihar stated that efforts are ongoing to identify those involved in the stone-pelting. The exact sequence of events leading to the crash is under investigation. A dedicated team is attending to the injured and informing their families about the incident.
