According to preliminary reports, the fire is suspected to have originated from a short circuit in the bus's air conditioning system. The blaze erupted so abruptly that passengers had minimal time to react, with the bus quickly becoming engulfed in flames and causing widespread panic.
Most passengers managed to escape by jumping out through the windows, but tragically, one individual was severely trapped in the flames and sustained critical burn injuries. Several others suffered minor burns during the frantic evacuation.

The critically injured passenger was initially transported to a hospital in Dhanera, Gujarat, but due to the grave nature of the injuries, was subsequently referred to Palanpur for advanced treatment. Doctors confirmed that the patient arrived at the hospital in an extremely critical condition. The other injured passengers received primary medical attention for their minor injuries and are currently under observation.
