Sequence of Events Leading to the Tragedy
The incident unfolded around midday when police received a call from a hospital at approximately 12:51 PM. The call reported that a man with gunshot injuries had been brought in and was declared dead upon arrival. Officers swiftly reached the scene near the factory, where the shooting is believed to have occurred.
A senior police officer detailed the harrowing sequence: Vaibhav Gandhi was on his way to the factory when two men on a motorcycle intercepted him. They threatened him, and as he attempted to flee in fear, the assailants opened fire. Two bullets struck Gandhi, causing him to collapse immediately at the spot. After the attack, the perpetrators allegedly seized a bag that Gandhi was carrying and fled the scene on their motorcycle.

Authorities are meticulously examining the contents of the bag to determine whether this was a targeted attack or linked to robbery or extortion. A laptop was found in the bag, and police are verifying if it also contained money, as stated by an investigating officer. Additionally, investigators are checking whether another bag with cash was present in the victim's car, which could provide crucial clues.
Preliminary inquiries suggest that the attackers may have been trailing Gandhi or were lying in wait at the location, indicating possible premeditation. Multiple police teams have been formed with the urgent task of tracing and arresting the culprits.
