A tragic incident on the Chausa-Kochas main road in Buxar district has resulted in the death of a fuel station employee, sparking allegations of foul play from his grieving family. The accident occurred near Karela Dera village under the Rajpur police station area on Sunday.
Details of the Fatal Incident
The deceased has been identified as Abhishek Kumar, a 35-year-old resident of Govindpur village under Mufassil police station limits. According to local villagers, passers-by discovered Abhishek lying critically injured on the road. They immediately alerted Dial 112, the emergency services number.
Police personnel arrived swiftly at the scene and rushed the injured man to the Rajpur community health centre. Given the severity of his condition, he was referred to Buxar Sadar Hospital. Unfortunately, the doctors at Sadar Hospital declared him dead on arrival.
Family's Allegations of Conspiracy
Abhishek Kumar had been working at the Vishwanath Fuel Service Centre in Rampur for the past eight years. His family has vehemently rejected the accident theory, alleging it was a pre-planned murder.
They revealed that Abhishek had been upset and had not reported to the fuel station for the preceding two days. The reason for his distress was a long-pending demand for a salary hike, which the fuel station owner had allegedly denied. The family claims that on Sunday, the owner called Abhishek for a meeting, after which the fatal incident occurred. They insist the accident was part of a conspiracy.
Protest and Police Investigation
In protest against his death, family members blocked the Chausa-Buxar main road near the hospital gate around 6 pm. This led to a significant traffic jam. Town police station SHO Manoj Kumar Singh reached the spot with a police force to pacify the protesters.
The family remained adamant, demanding strict action against the alleged accused. The road blockade persisted, and it was not fully lifted even by 9 pm.
Police officials stated that the matter is being taken seriously. All angles are being investigated, including the family's allegations. SHO Manoj Kumar Singh clarified that further action will be taken once the autopsy report is received and the family files a formal complaint.
