A car driver was assaulted by a couple in Noida's Sector 17 after their child suddenly ran in front of his vehicle. The driver applied emergency brakes and prevented the child from being hit, but the parents accused him of endangering the kid, beat him up, and damaged his car. Police are working to identify and arrest those involved.

Incident Details

According to police, the incident occurred on Monday outside JJ Colony in Sector 17. The child unexpectedly dashed onto the road, directly in front of the car. The driver swiftly used emergency brakes to stop the vehicle, avoiding a collision. The child sustained no injuries.

However, tensions escalated immediately. Family members of the child, who were nearby, allegedly became enraged and confronted the driver. The situation turned violent as the relatives assaulted him and damaged the vehicle. During the altercation, the car's window was smashed, and the driver suffered minor injuries.

Police Response and Legal Action

A police team from the Sector 20 police station arrived at the scene and dispersed the crowd. The injured driver was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Subsequently, a case was filed under sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (mischief), 352 (intentional insult), and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Social Media and Traffic Disruption

A 37-second video of the incident was shared on social media platforms. The footage shows the damaged car parked on the roadside near the DND stretch, with a crowd gathered around. The incident briefly disrupted traffic in the area before police intervened and restored normal movement.

Police continue to investigate and are reviewing the video to identify the perpetrators.
