In a distressing incident in Chandigarh, an unidentified individual has stolen precious jewellery, cash, and foreign currency from the residence of an 80-year-old man in Sector 41. The complainant, Subhash Chander Khurana, aged 80, reported to the authorities that he discovered the theft after being unable to locate the keys to his locker for the past three days. Khurana, who resides in Sector 41, kept his valuables securely stored in a locker within his house. When the keys remained missing, he decided to take action on Monday by calling a locksmith to open the locker.
Upon breaking open the lock, Khurana was shocked to find that the contents were missing. The stolen items included gold and diamond jewellery, approximately Rs 1.50 lakh in cash, and some US dollars. A subsequent search of the entire house failed to yield any trace of the stolen valuables, confirming the theft.

Khurana expressed his suspicions to the police, highlighting that no outsiders had visited his home in recent days. This led him to believe that his domestic helpers might be involved in the theft.
