DGP's Response to Traders' Concerns
During the meeting, DGP Hooda advised the delegation to ensure that all market welfare associations deploy their own security personnel at the entry and exit points of each market. He assured that the murder case, which has heightened concerns, is being pursued with utmost seriousness.
Chemists Association Also Meets DGP
In a separate meeting, a delegation of the Chandigarh Chemists Association also met the DGP and submitted a representation. They urged the DGP to ensure the immediate arrest of the accused and strengthen security measures for chemists and traders.
The meetings underscore the growing unease among the business community in Chandigarh regarding safety and the need for proactive measures to protect traders and their establishments.
