Chennai: Ennore Beach Dispute Over Woman Escalates to Fatal Stone Attack
A violent dispute over accompanying a woman believed to be a sex worker culminated in a brutal murder near Ennore in Chennai on Saturday night. The incident, which unfolded along the Ramakrishna Nagar beach shoreline, has led to the arrest of a 35-year-old car driver, while authorities continue efforts to identify the victim.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Tragedy
The accused, identified as Maheswaran, a resident of Burma Nagar in Ennore, was reportedly drinking with a friend at a Tasmac outlet before the fateful encounter. After leaving the outlet, the duo set off on a motorcycle, passing by the Ramakrishna Nagar beach area.
It was there that they noticed a man engaged in conversation with a woman by the shore. According to police reports, Maheswaran and his friend approached the woman, sparking immediate tension.
Heated Argument Turns Deadly
