Geetha had a prior history, having been involved in two previous ganja cases. By meticulously monitoring her digital footprint, police discovered she was in contact with a mobile number registered in Odisha.
Key Development: After Geetha communicated with the suspect in Odisha, the mobile number's location shifted from Odisha, indicating active movement in the smuggling operation. This digital clue prompted police teams to lay a trap and maintain continuous surveillance.
Interception and Arrests
Police trailed Geetha as she boarded an autorickshaw along with three accomplices. The gang was poised to receive a container when law enforcement intervened. Officers intercepted lorry driver John, a 35-year-old from Tuticorin, and conducted a thorough search of his vehicle.
The search revealed 20 kilograms of ganja cleverly concealed within the truck. Following this discovery, five suspects were taken into custody:

- John, 35, of Tuticorin (lorry driver)
- Padma, 42
- Deepa, 45
- Nitish Kumar, 30
All arrested individuals have been remanded to judicial custody, pending further legal proceedings.
