Chhani Police Bust AC, LED TV Theft Gang; 6 Arrested

Vadodara: The Chhani police have dismantled a criminal network involved in stealing air-conditioners and LED television sets from a godown in the city, arresting three additional suspects. This brings the total number of individuals taken into custody to six.

Recovery of Stolen Goods

According to police officials, they have successfully recovered over 30 air-conditioners and 15 LED television sets that were stolen from a retailer’s godown in the Chhani area.

Investigation Details

The theft came to light in May when company officials noticed the missing electronic items and filed a complaint with the Chhani police station. During the investigation, authorities discovered that Darshan Vasava, a tempo driver responsible for transporting the products, had allegedly stolen the appliances and sold them at significantly reduced prices.

Vasava’s interrogation led to the identification of other members of the racket. Subsequently, police arrested Rakesh Vanzara, Anil Parmar, Rajesh Jhala, Navin Devipujak, and Vishal Chaurasiya for their alleged involvement in the crime.

Current Status

Police confirmed that all stolen goods have been recovered. Investigators are now looking into whether the accused were involved in similar thefts in the past and if the racket operated in other areas.
