The Hisar Bar Association is set to host a landmark event in the judicial history of the city, with a grand welcome ceremony for the Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant. The event is scheduled for January 9 at the Hisar Court Complex, marking a momentous occasion for the local legal fraternity.
Preparations for a Historic Welcome
Officials from the District Bar Association Hisar have confirmed that all arrangements are complete for the ceremony. The president, Sandeep Boora, and secretary, Sameer Bhatia, stated that the court and bar complex has been elaborately decorated for the occasion. They emphasized that the event holds profound emotional and symbolic value because Hisar Court was Justice Surya Kant's first place of judicial posting in his distinguished career.
Grand Gathering of the Judicial Fraternity
The ceremony is expected to witness a significant gathering of the judiciary from the region. Boora and Bhatia revealed that around 50 judges from across Punjab and Haryana will arrive in Hisar to attend the function alongside the Chief Justice of India. This reflects a strong show of unity and respect from the entire judicial community. The Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Sheel Nagu, will also be present at the event.
Event Schedule and Significance
The felicitation ceremony is planned to be held from 5 pm to 7 pm at a specially arranged venue within the advocates' parking area of the complex. During this time, Justice Surya Kant will address the members of the Bar. The leaders of the Hisar Bar Association described the upcoming event as a defining moment, underscoring the deep connection the Chief Justice has with the city where his judicial journey began.
