Class 8 Student Gangraped in Mauganj District, Four Accused Arrested
A horrific incident has shaken the Mauganj district of Madhya Pradesh, where a class 8 student was brutally gangraped by four men on Thursday. The young girl was on her way to appear for her school examinations when the attack occurred.
Details of the Assault
According to police reports, the girl was apprehended by a group of youths while she was heading to sit for a pre-board examination. The accused forcibly dragged her to a nearby forest area. There, they allegedly administered an intoxicant, which police have identified as alcohol, to the victim.
"The girl was forcefully fed alcohol, and due to excess intake of alcohol she lost consciousness," stated Mauganj Superintendent of Police Dilip Soni in an official statement. The perpetrators then took turns to rape the unconscious girl before fleeing the scene.
Discovery and Medical Attention
When the girl failed to return home by late evening, concerned family members initiated a search. They discovered her in a semi-conscious state within the jungle and immediately rushed her to a nearby government hospital for emergency medical care.
Police arrived at the hospital on Thursday night, but the victim was not in a condition to provide any statement at that time. It was only around 10 AM on Friday morning, after she regained full consciousness, that she was able to narrate the traumatic ordeal to senior police officials.
Police Action and Arrests
Taking prompt action based on the girl's testimony, police registered a First Information Report (FIR) and launched an intensive investigation. Initial arrests were made swiftly, with two accused taken into custody on Friday morning.
The first two arrested individuals have been identified as:
- Mintu alias Betu Jaiswal, aged 24
- Ravinandan, aged 22
Later in the evening, police successfully apprehended the remaining two accused:
- Lala alias Neeraj Jaiswal, aged 21
- Subhash Jaiswal alias Mithun, aged 23
Current Condition and Official Statements
Superintendent of Police Dilip Soni provided reassurance about the victim's condition, stating, "She is out of danger and is completely safe now." Medical authorities continue to monitor her recovery and provide necessary support.
The police investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to gather additional evidence and build a strong case against the accused. The swift arrests have been noted as a significant development in ensuring justice for the young victim.
