A formal complaint was filed by Agastin, a resident of RR Layout in Vaddarapalya, who is also a small-scale milk vendor by profession. The incident is reported to have taken place between 10 PM on April 14 and 4:30 AM on April 15.
Agastin had securely tied his two cows in the parking area of his house before retiring for the night. When he woke up at 4:30 AM to milk them, he was horrified to find both animals missing. Alarmed and distressed, he immediately began searching the neighbourhood and contacted acquaintances for assistance.

During his frantic search, Agastin encountered Prasad Yadav near the MMB Banquet Hall at Jelly Machine Gate. To his surprise, Yadav informed him that his cow had also gone missing during the same time frame.
