CRPF Officer and Wife Held for Heinous Child Abuse in Greater Noida

A Central Reserve Police Force commandant and his wife found themselves behind bars on Monday. Authorities arrested them for allegedly inflicting severe physical torture on a young girl. The shocking incident unfolded at their official residence in Greater Noida.

The ten-year-old victim now fights for her life in a hospital. She remains on ventilator support with critical injuries.

Couple Claims Girl Was Niece, Police Reveal Domestic Help Reality

Commandant G D Tariq Anwar serves with the 235th Battalion of the CRPF. He told people the child was his wife Rimpa Khatun's niece. Police investigations painted a different picture entirely.

Officers confirmed the girl lived with the couple on the CRPF campus. She stayed there without any formal permission from senior authorities. The couple allegedly employed her as domestic help in their home.

Brutal Assault Leaves Child with Multiple Injuries

The nightmare reached its peak on the night between January 14 and 15. Investigators stated the couple subjected the girl to a vicious beating. This assault caused devastating injuries to her small body.

Instead of seeking help at the CRPF hospital, Anwar took her to Sarvodaya Hospital. He provided doctors with a false story. Anwar claimed the child slipped and fell in a bathroom.

Medical Evidence Exposes Horrific Truth

Doctors quickly noticed inconsistencies in the couple's account. Their examination revealed a harrowing reality. The girl bore multiple old and fresh injuries across her body.

  • She suffered from broken ribs and deep wounds to her head and chest.
  • Medical professionals observed clear signs of prolonged starvation.
  • Her haemoglobin level plummeted to a dangerous 1.9.
  • Dark circles shadowed her eyes, and her legs showed noticeable swelling.
  • The child arrived at the hospital unconscious and in critical condition.

Suspecting sustained physical abuse, the hospital prepared a medico-legal report. They immediately alerted the authorities about their findings.

Hospital Transfer and Police Complaint Trigger Action

As the girl's condition worsened, doctors referred her to Max Hospital in Noida's Sector 128. A hospital spokesperson released a statement about her admission.

"The child arrived at our emergency department on January 15," the spokesperson said. "She came in a critical state, already dependent on ventilator support. We diagnosed her with polytrauma and shock. Given the suspicious nature of her injuries, we promptly informed the police. We requested a thorough investigation into this matter. She currently receives treatment in our paediatric intensive care unit."

The legal process began when a subedar major from the CRPF camp filed a written complaint. He approached the Ecotech-3 police station on Sunday. His complaint detailed the couple's residence in quarter number 13 of block 60, inside the Ecotech 3 CRPF campus.

It described how the child routinely performed household chores. She cared for other children in the home. The complaint stated she faced frequent beatings from the couple.

Arrests, Suspension, and Ongoing Investigation

Senior CRPF officials took serious note of the allegations. They directed police to take strict action against those responsible. Ecotech-3 police acted swiftly based on preliminary investigation and medical evidence.

Officers arrested both accused persons. The CRPF administration suspended Anwar from his duties pending further inquiry.

Police confirmed completion of the child's medical examination. Their investigation continues to uncover more details. Authorities have informed child welfare officials about the case.

Additional legal action will follow based on the investigation findings. The case stands registered under BNS Section 110. This section deals with attempts to commit culpable homicide.
