Daylight Heist: CSP Operator Loses ₹3.31 Lakh at Gunpoint

In a shocking incident that has rattled the Nalanda district, unidentified criminals on a motorcycle robbed a Customer Service Point (CSP) operator of a substantial sum of ₹3.31 lakh on Saturday. The brazen robbery occurred in broad daylight, highlighting audacious criminal activity in the region.

The Sequence of Events

The victim, identified as Ramashish Prasad, also known as Chhote Yadav, had just withdrawn the money from the State Bank of India branch located in Parwalpur. He was on his way to Mahavir Nagar when the crime took place. According to his statement, the situation turned dangerous as he was retrieving the money bag from his motorcycle near his CSP centre.

It was at this moment that two masked individuals, also on a motorcycle, descended upon him. The miscreants, brandishing a firearm, swiftly snatched the bag containing the cash and fled the scene. Prasad confirmed that the bag held over ₹3 lakh in cash, alongside several cheques and other vital documents, making the loss both financial and logistical.

Police Investigation Underway

Local law enforcement was quick to respond. Upon receiving the alert, personnel from the Parwalpur police station immediately reached the spot to initiate an investigation. A formal complaint has been officially lodged by the CSP operator, setting the legal process in motion.

Parwalpur Station House Officer (SHO) Ajit Kumar provided crucial details about the suspects, stating that the criminals were estimated to be between 30 and 35 years of age. In a modern approach to crime-solving, the police revealed that CCTV footage from the area is being meticulously scanned to identify the perpetrators and trace their escape route.

This incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of individuals carrying large sums of money, even for official purposes like banking. The community awaits swift action from the police to bring the culprits to justice.
