Decomposed Body of Middle-Aged Man Discovered in Locked Attingal House
Thiruvananthapuram: In a grim discovery, the decomposed body of a middle-aged man was found inside a locked house in Attingal on Tuesday, sending shockwaves through the local community. The incident came to light after residents in the area noticed a strong, foul odor emanating from the property and promptly alerted the police.
Police Break Open House to Find Hanging Body
Upon receiving the alert, Attingal police officers rushed to the scene and were forced to break open the locked house to gain entry. Inside, they made a distressing discovery: the body of a man hanging from a ceiling fan in one of the rooms. Police sources indicated that the body appeared to be several days old, showing significant signs of decomposition.
The deceased was later identified as 52-year-old Shaji. According to preliminary investigations, Shaji had been living in Delhi for over a decade after being separated from his family.
