Delhi Car Blast Probe: Police Track Vehicle Via 100+ CCTV Clips
Delhi Car Blast: Police Investigate CCTV Footage

Delhi Police has intensified its investigation into the mysterious car explosion that shook the capital near the historic Red Fort on Monday, with authorities examining over 100 CCTV clips to reconstruct the vehicle's final movements before the blast.

CCTV Footage Reveals Critical Timeline

Investigators have obtained crucial CCTV footage that shows the suspect's car entering and exiting a parking area adjacent to the Red Fort. The footage clearly indicates that the suspect was alone inside the vehicle, contradicting earlier assessments by police officials.

According to sources speaking to ANI, the Hyundai i20 entered the parking lot at 3:19 PM on Monday, hours before the explosion rocked the area. The vehicle then departed from the parking area at 6:48 PM, just minutes before the blast occurred.

Police Trace Vehicle Route Across Delhi

Delhi Police is now meticulously tracing the suspect vehicle's route toward Daryaganj, with investigators examining footage from multiple locations including nearby toll plazas. More than 100 CCTV clips are being analyzed to establish the complete movement pattern of the car before the explosion.

The investigation has revealed that the same vehicle was spotted in several key areas of Delhi, including Kashmere Gate, Daryaganj, and Sunehri Masjid, although the exact timing of these sightings remains under investigation.

Suspect Identification Progress

In a significant breakthrough, police have zeroed in on a resident of Pulwama who purchased the vehicle weeks earlier on October 29. The car buyer has emerged as a potential suspect in the ongoing probe, though authorities continue to verify all leads.

The latest findings appear to contradict the initial assessment made by Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha, who had previously stated that two to three people were seated inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.

As the investigation continues to unfold, Delhi Police remains tight-lipped about whether this was a terror attack or resulted from other causes. The probe continues to develop with new evidence emerging regularly.
