Two Arrested and Minor Apprehended in Northeast Delhi Park Murder Case
In a tragic incident in northeast Delhi, police have made significant progress in the murder of a 21-year-old man whose body was discovered in a park. The authorities have arrested two adult men and apprehended a minor in connection with the crime, which occurred in the Welcome area.
Details of the Welcome Park Murder
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Shamim, a resident of the Lakdi Market area in Welcome. According to police reports, information about the dead body was received around 6:45 PM on Friday. The body was found in a local park, prompting an immediate investigation.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Ashish Kumar Mishra provided details on the accused. The three individuals involved include a 20-year-old from Lakdi Market, a 23-year-old from W Block, and a 17-year-old minor. During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to assaulting Shamim, citing that he had bullied them as the motive for the attack.
Separate Stabbing Incident in East Delhi's Trilokpuri
In an unrelated case on Friday evening, a 26-year-old man was seriously injured in a stabbing incident in east Delhi's Trilokpuri. The attack is believed to be linked to a long-standing family dispute aimed at avenging a previous murder.
The victim, identified as Huzaf from Trilokpuri, was returning home after getting his clothes ironed when he was intercepted near a local temple by a group of men. Deputy Commissioner of Police (east) Rajeev Kumar stated, "The assailants allegedly abused and threatened the victim, and one of them attacked him with a knife, causing injuries on his back and shoulder."
Huzaf managed to reach near his residence, where his family shifted him to a hospital for treatment. Police have identified the suspects involved in this attack and are actively working to apprehend them.
Police Response and Ongoing Investigations
In both cases, Delhi Police have taken swift action. For the Welcome park murder, the arrests and apprehension highlight efforts to address violent crimes in the city. The minor involved is being handled according to juvenile justice protocols.
Regarding the Trilokpuri stabbing, authorities are focusing on the motive rooted in family disputes. A police officer explained, "The attack is believed to have been done to avenge that murder," emphasizing the need for community intervention to prevent such retaliatory violence.
