Delhi Police Arrests 3 in Railway Job Scam Case

The Delhi Police has apprehended three individuals in connection with an alleged railway job scam and is investigating the possible involvement of Railway Department employees. The case came to light after a complaint was filed alleging that a man was cheated on the promise of securing a permanent job in the railways.

Details of the Arrests

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Railways) B Bomma Reddy stated that the complainant was instructed to contact one of the suspects, a woman, and ask her to come to the Old Delhi Railway Station to collect the remaining amount allegedly demanded for the job. Acting on this tip-off, police apprehended the woman, identified as Isha, from Chandni Chowk.

Based on her interrogation, another suspect named Ranjeet was detained from ISBT Kashmere Gate, and a third suspect, Alam, was arrested from the Old Delhi Railway Station.

Financial Transaction

Police revealed that Isha and Ranjeet had collected Rs 3.6 lakh from the complainant and transferred the money to Alam. Further investigation indicated that Alam was in contact with two other individuals, Atul Kadam and AK Khan, who claimed to have access to Baroda House and Rail Bhawan, key railway offices in Delhi.

Ongoing Investigation

The police are now probing the potential involvement of railway employees in the scam. The authorities are examining the links between the arrested suspects and the railway officials who allegedly facilitated the fraudulent job promises. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected as the case unfolds.
