New Delhi: Eight months after a gunpoint robbery at a businessman's residence in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar, where the assailants allegedly posed as police officers, Delhi Police have arrested three individuals, including a BCom graduate.
Details of the Incident
The robbery occurred on October 18, 2025, when five to six armed men, reportedly disguised as police personnel, arrived in a Gypsy vehicle fitted with a red beacon. Around 10 pm, they forced their way into the house, held the family at gunpoint, and searched the premises.
Family members raised an alarm from the rooftop, attracting the attention of neighbors. The accused fled with mobile phones and other valuables, leading to the registration of a case.
Investigation and Arrests
Investigators identified Gulshan Singh and Baljinder as key conspirators who allegedly planned the crime in Mansa, Punjab. The two were known to each other from a previous jail term.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted raids in Shahdara's Mansarovar Park last week and arrested Gulshan, 33, and Sanjeev, 29. Based on their disclosures, police recovered a stolen scooter from Dwarka, along with a pistol, a country-made weapon, and cartridges.
A third accused, Sanjay, 28, was later arrested from Najafgarh, and another weapon was seized. Rajasthan Police announced a reward of Rs 75,000 for their arrest. All three have criminal records.
