During the investigation, authorities allegedly uncovered multiple safety violations and serious deficiencies in the building's fire safety infrastructure.

The Saket court on Saturday remanded Negi to two days of police custody. He was produced before Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Bhanu Pratap Singh after his arrest by the Delhi Police.

Owner in Custody

Lovkesh Bajaj, owner of the hotel, has been in police custody in connection with the fire tragedy. While seeking Negi's custodial remand, the Delhi police stated that custody was required to further investigate the case. The police also said that the fire broke out due to a leakage of cooking gas.
