New Delhi: Two men have been arrested for allegedly stabbing two youths following a dispute over one of the victims’ acquaintance with a girl known to the accused in northeast Delhi’s Kardampuri.
The injured people have been identified as Hussain (18) and Rehman (19).
According to police, information about the stabbing was received at Jyoti Nagar police station around 5.30 pm on Tuesday. Upon reaching the hospital, it was discovered that the injured persons had already been shifted to the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital by locals.
Hussain told the cops that a dispute had been ongoing between Rehman and one Sajid of Kardampuri regarding Rehman’s visits to the area to meet a girl known to him. On the day of the incident, the duo along with another associate Aamir had gone to the area to resolve the matter.
“During the discussion, an altercation took place, and Rehman allegedly slapped Sajid. Thereafter, Sajid and his associates attacked Hussain and Rehman with knives, causing injuries to both,” said a senior police officer.
A case was registered on the charges of attempt to murder. The accused, identified as Fardeen (19) and Kashif (19), were arrested. Three minors, all aged around 16, were apprehended.
