The Delhi Police has issued a crucial travel advisory for commuters following the devastating car explosion near the Red Fort Metro station that claimed multiple lives. The advisory comes as security agencies intensify investigations and tighten security across the national capital.

On Thursday, the Delhi Police released a comprehensive travel advisory urging the public to reach transportation hubs well before their scheduled departure times. This heightened security alert follows the car explosion near Red Fort Metro station Gate No. 1 on November 10, which resulted in 13 fatalities and injuries to over 25 people.
According to Joint CP Milind Dumbre, the advisory emphasizes that all passengers should reach railway stations, metro stations, and airports well in advance due to enhanced security arrangements in Delhi.
The police have specified strict arrival times for different modes of transportation:
- Train passengers must arrive at least one hour before scheduled departure
- Metro travellers should reach stations 20 minutes before their intended train
- International flight passengers are advised to arrive at the airport three hours in advance
Authorities have appealed for public cooperation to maintain safety and ensure smooth travel during this period of intensified security checks.
Breakthrough in Blast Investigation
Security agencies have made significant progress in the blast investigation, with fresh CCTV footage emerging that clearly shows prime suspect Dr. Umar Un Nabi entering Delhi via the Badarpur border in a white i20 car. The footage captures the suspect stopping at the Badarpur toll gate and paying cash to the toll collector.
Investigators have recovered diaries belonging to both Dr. Umar and co-accused Dr. Muzammil, according to ANI reports. These diaries contain crucial evidence, including specific references to dates between November 8 and 12, indicating that planning for the incident was underway during that period.
The diaries also reportedly contain names of approximately 25 individuals, most hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and Faridabad. Security agencies are investigating these leads as part of their expanded probe.
Suspect's Background and DNA Confirmation
Dr. Umar Un Nabi, described as academically accomplished in his professional circles, allegedly turned radical over the past two years, according to investigation sources. The transformation from a respected professional to a suspected terrorist has shocked those who knew him.
In a significant forensic breakthrough, DNA tests of samples collected from the blast site have confirmed that Dr. Umar Nabi was driving the car that exploded on Monday. Investigators collected DNA samples from the suspect's mother on Tuesday, which were analyzed alongside remains from the blast site, providing conclusive evidence of his involvement.
The investigation continues as security agencies work to identify all individuals connected to the planning and execution of this devastating attack that has left the capital on high alert.
