According to police reports, Yadav was making a delivery on his electric two-wheeler along New Link Road around 7 PM. As he approached the Kandivli metro station area near a petrol pump, a car driven by Aftaab Alam stopped in a manner that obstructed traffic flow. Without checking his mirrors, Alam opened the right-side door of his vehicle, which struck Yadav as he passed by on his scooter.
The impact caused Yadav to fall onto the roadway, where he was immediately run over by a tanker traveling behind him. The tanker driver, identified as Anantrai Shivnayak, was unable to avoid the fallen rider. Yadav sustained severe head injuries in the collision and was rushed to Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
