A 26-year-old woman in Bengaluru was subjected to a traumatic experience when a delivery agent allegedly forced his way into her home, despite her repeated refusals, and then exposed himself to her. The incident occurred in the Marathahalli area and has sparked outrage over safety concerns for women.
Incident Details
According to the woman's complaint, the delivery agent arrived at her doorstep with a package. When she refused to accept the delivery, the man allegedly pushed the door open and entered her home. She stated that she felt alone and feared for her safety as he proceeded to use her washroom without permission. The situation escalated when he came out and allegedly exposed his private parts, flashing at her. The woman managed to alert neighbors, who intervened and helped her contact the police.
Police Response
The Marathahalli Police Station registered a First Information Report (FIR) on July 12, 2026, based on the woman's complaint. The police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and apprehend the suspect. In a tweet, DCP Whitefield Bengaluru confirmed: "In this regard, an FIR has been registered at Marathahalli Police Station, and the investigation is in progress." The suspect is believed to be a delivery agent associated with an e-commerce platform, reportedly Flipkart.
