Police Intensify Operation Against Notorious Criminal Gang
Law enforcement authorities in Dhanbad have significantly accelerated their campaign against the infamous Wasseypur-based criminal syndicate led by fugitive gangster Prince Khan, who is currently suspected to be operating from the United Arab Emirates. The latest development in this ongoing crackdown saw police executing seizure proceedings at the residence of Khan's close associate, Saif Abbas Ansari, commonly known as Saifi.
Court-Ordered Property Attachment Executed
On Friday, a specialized police team carried out the attachment operation at Saifi's Wasseypur residence following a legally issued warrant connected to an Arms Act case. Dhanbad SSP Prabhat Kumar confirmed that the accused has been evading arrest since the registration of the Arms Act case in 2022. Due to his continuous absence from legal proceedings, authorities initiated the court-mandated property seizure process as per established legal protocols.
Locked Residence and Previous Warnings
When the police contingent arrived at Saifi's Wasseypur home, they discovered the property completely locked with no family members present on the premises. Officials revealed that prior notices had been publicly displayed at his residence, explicitly warning him to surrender to authorities. Despite these repeated warnings and legal notices, the gangster's aide continues to remain at large, prompting the recent property attachment action.
The intensified police action represents a significant escalation in the ongoing battle against organized crime in the region, particularly targeting networks with international connections. The case highlights the challenges law enforcement faces when dealing with criminals operating across international borders while maintaining local influence through their associates.
