DJ Operator Brutally Lynched in Bihar Over Suspected Love Affair

A shocking incident of mob violence has rocked the Kudra police station area of Kaimur district in Bihar, where a 23-year-old disc jockey operator was allegedly lynched to death over a suspected love affair on Tuesday night. The brutal killing has triggered widespread outrage among local residents, leading to a major highway blockade as villagers demanded swift justice for the victim.

Victim Succumbs to Severe Injuries After Vicious Assault

The victim, identified as Raja Kumar Gupta, a resident of Pusauli Bazaar, was first rushed to the Kudra hospital in critical condition following the savage attack. Medical authorities later referred him to Bhabhua sadar hospital for advanced treatment, but he tragically succumbed to his grievous injuries around midnight. Police reports indicate that Raja was lured to a school campus under the false pretext of hiring DJ equipment, where he was ambushed and beaten mercilessly with iron rods and wooden clubs.

According to official statements from Mohania Sub-Divisional Police Officer Pradeep Kumar, preliminary investigations strongly suggest this was a targeted attack stemming from a confrontation earlier in the evening. "As per the family's account, Raja had been in a relationship with a neighbourhood girl. The situation turned violently hostile after the girl's family reportedly caught the pair together at Raja's shop on Station Road," explained SDPO Kumar.

Deceptive Trap and Subsequent Protests

Police sources have revealed disturbing details about the calculated nature of the attack. The girl's relatives allegedly called Raja, pretending they needed to borrow a microphone for a DJ set. When the unsuspecting victim arrived at the designated location, he was immediately set upon by the assailants. In a particularly cruel twist, the attackers later dragged the injured Raja across railway tracks to another school premise, where they continued their brutal assault.

When Raja's parents reached the scene after being alerted by a concerned passerby, the assailants reportedly threatened them before fleeing the area. This horrific incident sparked intense protests on Wednesday morning, with grieving family members and hundreds of angry villagers placing Raja's body on National Highway-19 and blocking traffic for over two hours.

Police Response and Arrests Made

The highway blockade was eventually lifted after senior police officials personally intervened and assured the protesters of swift action and a thorough investigation. Demonstrating their commitment to justice, police conducted a series of overnight raids that resulted in the arrest of four individuals, including the prime accused identified as Abhishek.

Additional police forces have been strategically deployed in Pusauli and surrounding areas to maintain law and order as the investigation progresses. Authorities are examining all angles of the case while working to prevent any further escalation of tensions in the community.

The tragic death of Raja Kumar Gupta has highlighted ongoing concerns about vigilante justice and relationship-related violence in the region, raising urgent questions about community safety and law enforcement responsiveness to such sensitive matters.
