A man allegedly impersonating an IPS officer was exposed and booked by police in Lucknow after he attempted to assert authority over real policemen during a late-night altercation with a tea vendor in the Mahanagar area.

The incident occurred at Gole Market crossing when a police patrol team arrived at a tea stall following a report of a dispute over payment. Sub-inspector Aryan Sharma and his team found a man engaged in a heated argument with the tea seller regarding payment for a bread packet.

Viral Video Captures Argument

A video of the incident went viral on social media, showing the man, who claimed to be an IPS officer, in a heated exchange with police personnel. When the policemen intervened and asked for his identity, the man allegedly introduced himself as an IPS officer posted in Noida and began questioning the officers.
