Blood stains were visible inside the station after the fight. We suspect the groups used sharp-edged weapons."
However, police officials have denied these allegations, maintaining that the situation involved only some pushing and shoving and was quickly brought under control. They clarified that the dispute originated from a long-standing quarrel over ancestral property. On Saturday night, an injured man, accompanied by his wife, arrived at the Chandaka police station to file a complaint. Subsequently, rival family members also reached the station, triggering the fight. "None of them carried weapons. One person was already injured when he came in, which explains the blood stains," an officer added.

According to police sources, the property dispute has been simmering for several years between the children of two women, both married to the same man in Daruthenga, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Chandaka police station.
