The farmer, identified as Gurpreet Singh, alleged that the accused threatened to implicate him in false cases if he did not pay the money.

Feeling helpless, the farmer paid the amount under duress. However, he later gathered courage and approached the senior police authorities. The complaint was registered after preliminary inquiries confirmed the allegations.
