Father-Son Killed in Bus-Motorcycle Crash in Maihar

A tragic road accident in Maihar, Madhya Pradesh, claimed the lives of a 50-year-old man and his 19-year-old son late Monday night. Another youth sustained critical injuries after a speeding bus collided with their motorcycle.

Accident Details

The incident occurred around 10 pm near Bheda Mod under the Nadan-Dehat police station limits. The three victims were returning to their village from Maihar town when a bus allegedly rammed into their motorcycle at a turn.

Victims Identified

Police identified the deceased as Rajkishore Kushwaha, 50, a resident of Khujha village in Satna's Uchehra area, and his son Akash Kushwaha, 19. The injured youth, Arvind Kushwaha, also 19, was riding the motorcycle with them.

The bus, which was heading towards Nagpur, struck the motorcycle at high speed. Akash died on the spot. Rajkishore and Arvind were rushed to Maihar Civil Hospital with the help of locals and police. Rajkishore succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while Arvind remains in critical condition.

Police Action

The crash caused a temporary traffic jam as locals gathered at the scene. Police seized the bus and sent the bodies for post-mortem. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
