"This seizure is part of our sustained drive to eradicate the drug menace from the region," Sharma stated. Notably, with this latest haul, the Ferozepur police have now recovered a total of 308 kilograms of heroin under the ongoing campaign, underscoring the scale of their efforts.

A case has been registered under the NDPS Act and Arms Act at the Sadar police station. Police officials noted that some of the accused have previous NDPS-related cases, indicating a pattern of involvement in drug trafficking.
