An FIR was registered with Kareli police station on Saturday night against four individuals for carrying out illegal plotting near the Sasur Khaderi river and on enemy land in Prayagraj. The accused are believed to be close associates of the slain mafia Atiq Ahmad and were involved in land grabbing and unauthorized development along the riverbank.
Anti-Encroachment Drive
During an anti-encroachment operation, a team from the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) demolished all illegal constructions and plot divisions on the site. The action followed a tip-off about land leveling activities in the Kasari-Masari area and miscreants plotting on enemy land.
Joint Inspection and Complaint
A joint team comprising revenue and administrative officials inspected the location after receiving the information. They found that the accused had not only encroached upon enemy land but also attempted to level a piece of land near the Sasur Khaderi river. The team subsequently lodged a complaint with the Kareli police station, leading to the registration of the FIR.
The accused have been identified as Neelu, Afzal, Jabi Ahmad, and one other individual. Legal proceedings have been initiated against them under relevant sections of the law.
