In two separate incidents on Sunday, Dharmapuri police arrested five individuals, including a minor, for possessing and selling ganja. The police seized a total of 3 kilograms of ganja, valued at Rs 30,000, along with an electronic weighing scale.

Three suspects—Sivashakthi (26), Karthik (25), and Hariharan (27)—were seen standing with a plastic bag. Upon noticing the police, they attempted to flee, but the officers quickly surrounded and apprehended them. A search yielded 1.7 kilograms of ganja.
During interrogation, the trio confessed to purchasing 2.5 kilograms of ganja from an unidentified person. They admitted to selling 750 grams and were in the process of selling the remaining 1.7 kilograms when caught.
