Four Injured in Ranchi Car Accident, Compromise Reached

Ranchi: At least four persons sustained injuries after an uncontrolled car struck them near Shani Mandir under Chutia police station limits early on Saturday. The incident also resulted in damage to several vehicles.

Police Statement

Officer in-charge of Chutia police station, Punam Tirkey, stated that no case has been registered as the affected parties later opted for a compromise. Consequently, the actual number of victims and the extent of their injuries could not be confirmed, nor could the identity of the driver. However, the vehicle involved was retained at the local police station.

Witness Account

According to a witness, the speeding car struck several individuals along with two-wheelers. A shop owner noted, “All injured persons were taken to a local hospital for treatment.”

One of the victims reported that his two-wheeler was flung approximately 10 metres away due to the impact. He added, “A compromise was reached after the car driver agreed to pay for the treatment of the victims and cover all damages.”
