Four Labourers Killed in Horrific SUV-Bike Collision in Jhalawar
A devastating road accident in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district has resulted in the tragic deaths of four individuals, including two brothers. The fatal incident occurred on Friday evening on Link Road near Karanpur village, within the jurisdiction of the Gangdhar police station.
Details of the Fatal Collision
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Hament Gautam, the accident took place when the four victims were returning from work on a single motorbike. An SUV collided head-on with their bike with tremendous force. The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was completely smashed, leading to fatal injuries for all four occupants.
Upon receiving information about the collision, police personnel rushed to the accident site. All four injured individuals were immediately transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors at the medical facility declared all four victims dead upon arrival.
Victims Identified as Migrant Labourers
The deceased have been identified as:
- Naresh Meena (20)
- Khemraj Meena (35)
- Lachiram Meena (23) - brother of Khemraj Meena
- Rajpal Singh Rajput (30)
While Naresh Meena, Khemraj Meena, and Lachiram Meena were residents of Salumber district, Rajpal Singh Rajput hailed from Mandsour in Madhya Pradesh. All four men were working as labourers in Jhalawar district at the time of the accident.
Police Action and Investigation
Station House Officer Amernath Yogi confirmed that the SUV driver has been arrested following the tragic incident. The vehicle involved in the collision has been seized by authorities, and the driver has been booked under relevant sections of the law.
The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their respective family members on Saturday after post-mortem examinations were completed. Police officials have stated that further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is currently underway to determine the exact cause and any contributing factors.
