Authorities received a 911 call reporting 'unknown trouble' and officers were dispatched to Handy's residence. According to People magazine, the caller stated, 'I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.' Handy was found unconscious in his front yard with chest wounds. Paramedics transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The 44-year-old suspect, Michael Gledhill, was arrested and transferred to Van Nuys Jail. He faces one count of murder, with bail set at USD 2 million.
