Pune Panic: Four Men With Billhooks Ransack Vimannagar Stall

A quiet Wednesday night in Pune's Vimannagar area turned into a scene of terror when four unidentified men brutally attacked a local paan stall. The gang, armed with billhooks, not only ransacked the stall but also openly threatened the owner's brother and other locals, claiming to be the 'Bhais' from the area before making their escape.

The Night of the Attack

The incident occurred around 9 pm on Wednesday. According to an officer from the Airport police station, the four men approached the stall and asked for a pack of cigarettes. As the owner's brother handed them the items and requested payment, the situation escalated violently.

Two of the men suddenly pulled out billhooks and began hitting the counter. The other two accomplices started throwing all the material from the stall onto the road. They then threatened the owner's brother with dire consequences, creating widespread panic among the residents and people present on the road.

Police Investigation Underway

Following the traumatic event, the paan stall owner officially lodged a complaint with the Airport police on Thursday. The police have promptly registered a case against the four suspects.

The charges have been filed under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Indian Arms Act. "We have recovered the CCTV footage from the spot. Our investigations are on," confirmed a police officer, indicating that the hunt for the culprits is actively progressing. The gang fled the scene on a motorcycle, and the police are using the visual evidence to track them down.
