Amravati: Four murder cases reported within 48 hours, three under Amravati police Commissionerate and one in Chandur Railway, have raised safety concerns among local residents.
Murder in Chandur Railway
In Chandur Railway, one Nitin Moreshwar Bhagat, 30, was allegedly murdered by Prafull Subhash Raut, 26, and Roshan Vishwasrao Meshram, 32, following a quarrel during a drinking session. Police arrested the duo.
Murder in Jai Siyaram Nagar
In Amravati, Prajwal Sunil Khare, 26, was stabbed to death in Jai Siyaram Nagar on Wednesday night after confronting a group over an objectionable AI-generated video being circulated on social media. Manoj Pachekar, Sachin Gujar and main accused Aditya alias Mari Bhadke have been arrested.
Murder in Gadge Nagar
In Gadge Nagar, Shekhar Sunil Netanrao, 27, died during treatment on Thursday after being assaulted on May 19 for allegedly intervening in a family dispute. Police have added murder charges against Kshitij Tembhare, Harshal Pohkar, Bhushan Pohkar and others.
Murder in Badnera
In Badnera, Mohammad Rafique Mohammad Yunus, a supervisor with a private company, succumbed to injuries sustained in a May 31 assault linked to a work dispute. Police arrested driver Adarsha Khatwas and a co-accused in the case.
