Four Surrender in Prayagraj Property Dealer Murder

Prayagraj: Four business partners accused of shooting a property dealer in Prayagraj over a Rs 3 lakh dispute surrendered before Jhunsi police on Monday. The police later took them into custody for questioning.

Accused Identified

The accused, identified as Arvind Bharatiya, Brajesh Nishad, Upendra Bharatiya, and Prince, are residents of Maheva. According to DCP (Yamuna Nagar) Vivek Chandra Yadav, the accused had a financial dispute with the deceased, Azharuddin, as they worked together in property dealings. The dispute over Rs 3 lakh allegedly escalated into violence, resulting in Azharuddin’s killing on Sunday evening.

Escape and Surrender

After the incident, the accused fled the scene and reportedly crossed into the city area by boat. They are also said to have recorded a video near Attarsuiya police station on Sunday night claiming they would surrender, but did not do so at that time. On Monday morning, they eventually arrived at Jhunsi police station in Trans-Ganga area and surrendered.

Details of the Incident

Police said Azharuddin was shot at point-blank range near the office of one of the accused, Arvind, following a heated argument over the monetary dispute. Officials added that the victim did not have his own office and worked with the accused.
